PROJECT RUNNYMEDE
This home in a quiet, Toronto neighbourhood got a full overhaul. Most of the main floor was gutted with key walls removed to create open plan living. The main floor received new finishes and lighting to compliment the bespoke cabinetry created for the project. The bathrooms and laundry room were also redesigned from scratch to provide maximum storage and style for this growing family.

Central Street Main Floor Renovation
Originally dark and compartmentalized, we transformed this home by removing key walls to create sight-lines from the kitchen through the living room.
Removing a kitchen window made space for storage and a more efficient layout, and adding large patio doors brightens everything up. The clean and simple design of the kitchen now highlights the family’s heirloom dining set.
The main floor is now a warm and open space for this young family to spend time together.

Ward IV Coffee Bar
Approachable Luxury
Located in a developing Hamilton neighbourhood, this café owner wanted to capture “approachable luxury.” Rich in textural finishes, our design drew on Art Deco influences while working within the constraints of the existing architecture. Custom wall fixtures provide storage for the open kitchen and café space, and industrial accents reference Steeltown’s history.
We collaborated with local millworkers on a wood-slat focal wall that is visible to street traffic to draw patrons inside, and a warm wood bar for an inviting seating option.

St. Clair Nursery
This sweet nursery was built around the homeowners’ existing furniture, creating a cozy space that is both classic and playful.
When space planning, we considered how to make the most of the room’s small footprint; the bookcase acts as a side table for the reading chair, and wrapping the gallery wall around the corner is a twist to display a number of sentimental art pieces made by friends and family.
The mauve walls are warm and feminine and we tied the design together with complimentary fabrics on the new soft furnishings.
